I am writing to formally request housing allocation data and progression information, I fully understand that the Council cannot guarantee allocation dates or provide precise queue positions. However, I understand that applicants may reasonably request general and statistical information about allocations. I would therefore be grateful if you could provide the following:

1. The approximate number of Band 3 applicants currently registered who require a three-bedroom property;
277

2. The number of three-bedroom properties allocated to Band 3 households in the last 12 months;
3

3. Any factors that may commonly delay allocation for households in Band 3 requiring larger properties.
As per Wokingham Borough Council’s Allocations policy, applicants in Band 1 and Band 2 will be made offers ahead of applicants on Band 3. When a property becomes available for nomination, the Allocations Team is notified, and a shortlist is drawn up listing all eligible applicants. Properties are offered to the applicant in the highest priority banding first. If there is no suitable applicant in Band 1, we then move on to those in Band 2, and so forth
Our Allocations Policy allows for exceptional circumstances where, for urgent operational, legal, or financial reasons, a property may be allocated outside the usual criteria. These decisions are made by our Exceptional Circumstances Panel.
Applicants may be bypassed for nomination for reasons such as:
o Rent arrears or anti-social behaviour.
o A change in circumstances that requires evidence or investigation.
o Specific requirements set by the landlord, such as sensitive lets or income criteria for affordable rent properties.
We also allocate properties for specific schemes, including Keyworker housing, Sheltered housing, Extra Care, and Supported Living. They will have their own eligibility requirements such as age, care package, agreement by formal panel etc
