Evening parking charges

1. Please supply evidence and risk assessments used to justify the introduction of evening parking charges in Wokingham town centre car parks.
In 2023, parking charges were increased for the first time since 2018. A report went to the Executive on 29/09/22 outlining the proposed increases in parking charges which included introducing charges for evening parking between 6pm and 10pm. These were approved in 2023 and changes were implemented across the charging car parks which came into effect July 23. Parking charges have since been increased in line with inflation and have been approved as part of the budget-setting process when considering fees and charges.
