Wayfinding Signage
See notes
I would like to request the following information relating to wayfinding signage in your local area. Please provide the following:
The responses below assume that wayfinding signage refers to pedestrian wayfinding (finger posts, monoliths, etc) mainly found in our town centres.
1. The annual spending on wayfinding signage (including maintenance, replacement, and installation) for each of the last three financial years.
For minor maintenance/removal/repair, the costs are covered by our overall framework contract and so cannot be identified. Below are capital works on Wayfinding for the requested period.
2021-22-23: £0
2023-24: £0
2024-25: £55.1k (this covers production of graphics and the materials for construction in 2025-26)
2025 – 2026: £21.8k – further spend planned this year to complete installation.
2. The number of wayfinding signs replaced in the city centre in each of the last three financial years.
We do not have a city in Wokingham Borough. Wokingham Town Centre is currently subject to a capital scheme replacing some signs but also adding new signage. In total, 5 fingerposts will be replaced.
3. The average repair time for damaged wayfinding signs (measured from report to completion of repair) over the same period.
