1. How many inspections and test purchases were carried out on land-based gambling premises in each of the last five years? Please break this down by type of premises - Bingo, AGC, Casino etc.
We can confirm that an underage test purchasing operation was conducted in December 2023. This operation targeted four premises: three betting shops and one family entertainment centre. Officers found good levels of compliance with age verification measures at the betting shop premises involved in the operation, with advice given to the family entertainment centre to improve compliance practices.
No further test purchasing operations have been conducted at gambling premises within the borough during the specified 5-year period.
