Whitegates Lane, Earley Temporary Parking Restrictions
See notes
I am writing in relation to the temporary parking restriction signs which have recently appeared on Whitegates Lane, Earley.
1. The traffic regulation order concerning the aforementioned parking restrictions.
See attached file.
2. The newspaper(s), if any, where notice of the above traffic order was published and the date(s) of publish.
Wokingham Today.
3. A copy of the above publication(s).
We do not hold this information. We cannot provide a copy of the newspaper itself but a copy of the newspaper proof is attached.
The signs say that the purpose of the restrictions is for "highways works". Therefore, please also provide the following:
4. The nature of the highways works and the name of the company completing the works;
5. When and where the highways works are taking place;
6. How long the highways works are expected to take until completion; and
7. During which days, and at what times on these days, the highways works will take place.
I suspect that the true reason for the aforementioned restrictions may not be for "highways works". Therefore, please provide the following:
8. Any other relevant information in relation to the aforementioned parking restrictions.
You are correct that these restrictions are not in situ due to any highway works. Signs referring to this have been placed in erected in error and will be replaced with correct information as soon as possible this week.
Regrettably, some vehicles are being parked in dangerous and obstructive locations, so temporary restrictions to maintain safety have been installed whilst we work with the mosque and Earley Town Council to find a solution that is suitable for the needs of all road users.
