The Council does not have a specific catering contract with a supplier for all its catering provision, we currently have 2 contracts one for school meals and another one for one of our catering outlets at Dinton Country Park. The school meals contract requires the supplier to follow the school food regulations 2014 and the food standards. The catering outlet contract requires the provider to source food provision locally and maximise use of fresh produce. The council does not have any specific policies relating to food provision and its origin it has indicated in its formal procured contracts with suppliers that suppliers must where possible local suppliers within a 100-150 mile radius.
