I would like to request the following information regarding placements and spending for high acuity dementia services.
1. Who within the LA, has the commissioning responsibility for specialist nurse-led care home placements for older people (aged 65+). Please provide their:

2. Does the LA categorise dementia care placements using the Seven-Tiered Model of Service Delivery for Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD), where Tier 1 indicates no dementia and Tier 7 represents very severe BPSD requiring secure specialist inpatient care?

3. If not, what framework or criteria does the LA use to categorise differing levels of complexity in dementia care placements?
The LA aligns with NICE guidance that integrates BPSD management into the overall person centred dementia care plan, as such care will increase and escalate based on need. Non pharmalogical interventions are prioritised and there is emphasis training for staff and support of carers. Use of Anti-psychotics only when necessary and with regular review.
4. Please provide the total number of older people (aged 65+) with dementia, funded by the LA, receiving nursing care in a care home, for the financial year 2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26 (projected), broken down by the
