Personal Advisor (PA)
Your friendly guide for planning your future
About Personal Advisor (PA)
A Personal Advisor (PA) is someone who’s genuinely there for you as you start becoming more independent. They’ll help you create your Pathway Plan - your personal roadmap for the future, filled with your goals, hopes, and the steps to help you get where you want to be.
Think of your PA as someone who truly listens, gives honest support, and sticks with you when life feels a bit overwhelming, and also celebrates with you when things go right. They’re your go‑to person when you need a chat, some guidance, or just someone who understands that growing up isn’t always straightforward. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. They’re right there walking alongside you.
When a Personal Advisor (PA) supports you
A Personal Advisor (PA) will start working with you when you turn 16. They’ll be there alongside your social worker, helping you get ready for adult life in a way that feels comfortable and makes sense for you. And when you reach 18, even though your social worker steps back, your PA stays right by your side. They’re still there to check in, support you, and help you navigate whatever’s coming next.
