Here4U care leavers service

The Care Leaver service in Wokingham is part of the Here4U team, and we’re here to walk alongside you as you take your next steps into adult life. We’ve also got a really welcoming space in Woodley that you can drop into whenever you like. There’s free Wi‑Fi, a friendly atmosphere, and a place to just breathe, get things done, or have a chat.

How we can support you

Stepping into independence can feel a bit overwhelming at times, and that’s completely normal. The team is here to make things a little easier and to make sure you don’t have to tackle everything on your own. We can help with:

• Finding somewhere safe and comfortable to live
• Getting into education, training, or work
• Looking after your health and wellbeing
• Learning how to manage your money in a way that feels doable
• Building healthy, supportive relationships
• Getting involved in your local community

Life doesn’t always go smoothly, and the Here4U team understands that. Whatever challenges you’re facing, we’re here to help. We can support with:

• Making choices that keep you safe and on the right path, no matter what you're going through.
• If you’ve had difficulties with the law, we won’t step away. Even if you’re in prison, we’ll visit you, stay in touch, and help you plan for a healthier, happier future.
• If you’re struggling with drugs or alcohol, we’ll work closely with other services to make sure you get the right support.

There’s no judgement, just people who genuinely care and want things to get better for you. More than anything, we want you to feel safe, supported, and cared for as you move forward.

Events and activities where you can feel connected

Throughout the year, Here4U runs warm, friendly events that give you the chance to relax, meet others, and try out new things. Some of these include:

• Eid al‑Fitr celebrations
• National Care Leavers’ Week activities
• Outdoor activity event
• Sports days and tournaments
