Kinship carers' support groups

Caring for a child within your family or close circle is an incredible commitment, but it can also feel challenging at times. You don’t have to do it alone. Local support groups offer a safe, welcoming space where kinship carers can connect, share experiences, and find practical advice from people who truly understand what you’re going through.

Why join a support group?

  • Connect with others who understand
Share experiences with people who know what it’s like to be a kinship carer.
  • Emotional support
A safe space to talk, listen, and feel less alone.
  • Practical tips and advice
Learn from others about managing day-to-day challenges.
  • Build confidence
Gain reassurance and encouragement from a supportive community.
  • Access local resources
Discover services, events, and opportunities in your area.
  • Friendship and community
Meet new people and build lasting connections.
