Single Person Discount Review
We are reviewing Council Tax Single Person Discounts. We are working with an external review provider to help make sure our records are accurate and up to date.
Local authorities have a statutory responsibility to take reasonable steps to confirm that Council Tax discounts are awarded only where there is a valid entitlement.
A Single Person Discount reduces a Council Tax bill by 25% when only one adult has the property as their sole or main residence.
How to confirm your current details
If you receive a Single Person Discount review letter, please tell us your current circumstances so that we can update our records.
To review your Council Tax online, you will need:
- unique PIN number
- Council Tax account number
- postcode
