1. How many reports did you receive from whistleblowers in 2019 and in 2020?
Our Shared Audit and Investigation team;
2019: Four investigated.
2020: None investigated.
2. How many people do you have in your organisation that are trained/permitted to take reports from whistleblowers?
Our aim is to support an open culture and whistleblowing reports can be made to line managers, Assistant Director, Governance, Lead Specialist, Shared Audit and Investigation Service, Director of Resources and Assets (s151 Officer), Head of HR.
3. What training have the people in question number 2 received in whistleblowing?
Training obtained through professional qualification or specific fraud training courses, as required.
4. What cost, if any, was there for this training?
We do not hold this information. As required, no specific training budget.
5. Which organisation delivered each course?
CIPFA/Bond Solon; DWP PINS; AFCS course; Various external training providers for specific training, as required.
6. What is the name of the person that arranged this training and what is their email address?

In addition the following contact arrangements are set out in our policy:
Councillors, service users, suppliers, partner organisations and members of the public are encouraged to report any concerns. These concerns about fraud and corruption should be reported either directly to the Assistant Director, Governance or via the Council’s Whistleblowing Policy, where a list of telephone contacts is given, along with the Council’s Whistleblowing referral hotline and telephone number.

We do not hold this information. It could be that whistle blowing has led to either grievance or disciplinary cases, but we are not aware of any and we don’t record information in a way that answers these questions.
