Rehabilitation Worker for the Visually Impaired can provide a specialist assessment which may include advice, guidance, equipment, and training. Examples of training offered include: meal preparation, cooking, drink making, accessing written material and indoor/outdoor mobility

Would apply for one off personal budget for equipment not provided within our core stock

One Senior (4 days week)
6. What is the number of referrals that the service receives per financial year?
We do not have STATS for Visual Impairment as our service also covers Hearing Loss and Dual Sensory Loss
7. What is the current waiting time for an initial assessment?
From referral being made to the team, initial contact with the customer will be made with the customer within 72 hours of the referral being received i.e. complete contact referral/contact assessment. Our waiting time is approximately 2 to 3 Months for a specialist worker to visit and complete a specialist assessment.
8. What are the current salary scales for a junior Visual Impairment Officer?
£25,400 to £33,400
9. What are the current salary scales for a senior Visual Impairment Officer?
£34,300 to £44,600
