1. Do you currently have an existing Allyship initiative/scheme/programme, specifically for your staff around championing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion?
The council does not have an allyship initiative for staff regarding Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
The council has an equality programme which supports delivery of its Equality Plan 2021-26. The programme includes multiple workstreams which involve activity across the organisation. One of the priorities that the programme is seeking to deliver is ‘building a diverse and engaged workforce’. The council also has two staff equality networks. The Ethnically Diverse staff network and the Neurodiversity staff network.

There are no mandatory Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion staff groups within the organisation.
b) How many staff are signed up to this initiative?
Not applicable.
c) How many staff do you employ?
We employ 1440 people.
d) Does it cover all 9 Protected Characteristics as set out in the Equality Act 2010?
