The last applicant in band 2 allocated a 3 bedroom house was on 1/5/2025 and they waited 7 months from the date they were awarded Band 2
2. What is the average time an applicant will wait on band 2 for a 3 bedroom house based on other applicants who have been housed?
The average wait time based on applicants in the last 12 months who have been allocated a 3-bedroom property from band 2 is 16 months.
3. How many 3 bedroom properties are empty that have not been allocated?
As of 15/5/25, we have 3 void three bedroom properties that have yet to be allocated.
4. What is the allocation process for applicants on band 2?
Our Allocations policy states that allocations from within Band Two are not made in date order. Instead, the Council will set and review the priority between the different groups within this band on a quarterly basis; however, the Council have not set a priority in this group and therefore are allocating based on date order.
5. What happens if an applicant on band 2 does not accept the property allocated to them?
If the applicant does not accept a property that has been allocated to them in Band 2 then the property will be offered to the next eligible applicant; the first applicant’s housing register application will be closed, and they cannot reapply for 12 months.
