1. How many personal injury claims were made against the council during 17 April 2022 to 17 April 2023?
19 personal injury claims made against the council between 17th April 2022 and 17th April 2023 were referred to the council’s Insurance Service and insurers.
2. What were the causes of these claims, for example, potholes and slips, trips and falls?
The causes were:
• 8 number of incidents allegedly arising from “Falls”
• 6 number of incidents allegedly arising from “Trips”
• 1 alleged “Slip”
• 1 alleged Pothole-related incident
• 1 road traffic accident
• 2 incident allegedly involving street furniture
3. How much did the council pay out in compensation in personal injury claims during this time?
£500 in compensation was paid during this time in respect of these claims.
