Money to help with food, bills, energy costs and other essentials

The Household Support Fund is now open for applications to help with food, energy, bills and other essential costs.

Higher payments have been available for the winter months. Depending on your situation, you could get up to £240.

If you have applied and received a grant from Age UK Berkshire or Citizens Advice Wokingham between April and September 2023, you can now apply again. New applications are welcome.

If you have a child who receives means-tested free school meals, you can get £20 per week, per child, during school holidays from First Days Children's Charity.

Get food if you're struggling

If you are struggling to buy food contact Citizens Advice Wokingham, which can help residents find the most appropriate local support.
