Premises Assistant

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm)
Grade: 2 SCP 3-4 FTE £23,044-£23,426 (subject to pay body review)

Building Strong Foundations for the Future

Earley St Peter’s Church of England Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and pro-active Premises Assistant to join our friendly school family.  This is a full-time, 52-week role. 

Experience specially within schools would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate with relevant experience. 

The role involves:

  • Security of the school building and site
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety regulations are followed throughout the school
  • Maintenance of the school buildings and grounds to a high standard
  • Porterage duties e.g moving and unpacking delivery boxes
  • Skills and experience in gardening, painting, decorating and assembling furniture

The successful applicant should have:

  • Basic Training and/or an interest in one or more of the following:

    • General Maintenance
    • Plumbing
    • Electrical/Building maintenance
    • Heating Systems
    • Grounds Work
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of ICT including using the internet and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A friendly, positive and proactive approach to work
  • The ability to works as part of a team
