What it can be used for
A grant of any amount up to £500 could be used to remove barriers such as:
-
The cost of transport for an individual or group to attend an activity
-
Subsidize the cost of an activity
-
Pilot a buddy scheme to improve confidence in attending activities, or support existing provision in this area
-
Provide respite for cared for person(s) to allow their carer(s) to attend an activity
This is not an exhaustive list. Due to limits on the funding, we are looking to support access to no and low cost activities, which allows us to support the widest range of residents across a broad range of activities.
Who can apply
- Voluntary organisations
- Charities
- Community groups
- Individuals applying on behalf of a grassroots unconstituted community group
- Umbrella organisations applying on behalf of several smaller groups who would be unlikely to apply independently
This grant should help people with a low income in Wokingham Borough by removing financial obstacles, ensuring that every resident has an equal chance to participate in the activities they are interested in.
