1. Please state how many physical assaults were recorded by you on people employed by the council as traffic wardens – otherwise known as Civil Enforcement Officers – in (a) 2024/25 and (b) 2025/26
One incident in each of the years requested.
2. Please give a brief description of the circumstances of each recorded incident.
July 2024: 1 officer was physically assaulted on Broad Street by a member of the public resulting in a police enquiry.
April 2025: 1 officer was assaulted on The Drive Early by an unknown person spraying water which could have had chemicals in at the officer’s face resulting in a police enquiry.
