1. This is a Freedom of Information request to provide all the details of the safety assessment carried out with regards to removing of one of the traffic calming schemes on Mole Road.
The traffic calming island on Mole Road was temporarily removed to help manage traffic and reduce congestion on the diversion route through Arborfield during Thames Water's works on Bearwood Road. As this was a temporary measure, no formal safety assessment was undertaken. The need for traffic calming at Arborfield Cross remains unchanged, and the island will be reinstated once the Thames Water works are complete.
