Spring 2021: Announcement of planning decision
Winter 2021: Completion of Detailed Design

Current project status

The scheme is currently in the final stages of the detailed design and discharge of planning conditions.

Planning application

Public events were held in February 2020 to review the proposals prior to planning submission. All feedback was summarised in the Statement of Community Engagement document and submitted as part of the planning application.

Planning consent for the scheme was granted in May 2021. You can take a look at the application on the website by searching for application number 203535.

Design and construction

At this stage, the construction programme is yet to be finalised. An update will be issued once this has been agreed. Three properties owned by the council on Finchampstead Road have been demolished in readiness for the works to begin.
