Winnersh Primary School is a well-established and community based primary school, with a diverse population. It is a well-resourced, two-form entry primary school. Our children are thoughtful, caring, well-behaved and keen to learn. The staff team is committed and dedicated to progressing and developing this school so that it can offer the best possible education for the superb children in the school community.

The school can offer:

• A school ethos that strives to be equitable for all and cares about the wellbeing of all stakeholders

• A lively, exciting and creative environment

• A great team of dedicated and committed staff

• Fantastic hard working, well-mannered and well-behaved children

The school is very proud of the reputation it has built up within the local community for being a welcoming and friendly school while ensuring that the curriculum reflects the ethos of ‘Where Learning is an Adventure’. We are a school that weaves our values of ‘Get Involved’, ‘Show Respect’ and ‘Embrace Challenge’ through everything that we do. The Headteacher is seeking to appoint a candidate who mirrors this ethos.

The Headteacher is looking to recruit to our valued team of Teaching Assistants.  In this role you will work closely with teachers, providing support to children through individual and small group work and by providing in-class support. We are looking for colleagues who will be versatile, enthusiastic and willing to work wherever the need is identified.  Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential.  On a day-to-day basis, your work will be directed by the class teacher, supporting children of all abilities.   You will have an opportunity to make a real difference to children’s learning, and to develop your own professional skills.

We are looking for a person who is willing to work with children of all age groups although initially, this role will be older children.   Experience of working in KS2 is desirable.

Our employment package includes:

- Local Government Pension Scheme

- Employee Assistance Programme - access to private GP service, wellness and fitness programme, counselling, physiotherapy and other benefits

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for the successful candidate.
