How our waste collection services work

• We supply official branded Wokingham Borough Council  blue bin bags each year for every household to  dispose of their household waste. No other bag or wheelie bin will be emptied
• If you live in a flat and use a communal bin - you use your own bags
• The annual allocation of blue bags are delivered in February or March each year
• Blue bags are collected from each household once a week from the edge of your property - find collection days

How to get blue bin bags if you're a new resident

If you're new to the area you can order and collect bags using the button below.

Order and collect bags

Just take your voucher to one of the local hubs to collect the bags in person. The number of bags issued, depends on the date you moved in:

New resident between:

• March and April 2023 - 54 blue bags
• May, June and July 2023 - 40 blue bags
• August and September 2023 - 30 blue bags
• October, November 2023 - 20 blue bags
• December 2023 - 10 blue bags
• January and February 2024 - 10 blue bags

How to get more blue bags

• If you have 5 or more people in your household you are entitled to additional blue bin bags if you need them
• If you run out you can also  buy more blue bin bags 

• We supply green waterproof recycling bags for each residence to dispose of recycling waste
• Recycling bags are collected every week at the same time as we collect your blue bin bags and food waste

• We provide an annual brown bin collection service for garden waste which is chargeable - bins are collected fortnightly - find collection days
