Phase 1 of the Winnersh Relief Road, which is now open, runs between the B3270 and King Street Lane. It was built by Bovis Homes and Persimmon as part of their new housing development on the former Hatch Farm Dairies site.

Construction of the new road commenced in early 2016 and was completed in June 2018.
The WRR as a whole is an important step towards putting the infrastructure in place to improve the resilience of Wokingham Boroughs road network by helping to relieve the existing congestion through Winnersh.
Wokingham Borough Council has submitted a full planning application for WRR phase two which, subject to planning consent, would connect the B3030 King Street Lane to the A329 Reading Road.
