Details of consultation

Under the current planning system, the Government could seek to impose between 800 and 900 new houses a year on Wokingham Borough. The council believes that figure is too high and held this consultation to see if residents agree.

We have accommodated significant housing development in recent years and we do have a need for more, but we believe the Government’s target goes beyond what is actually needed locally.

The hard-copy responses are now being inputted and full findings will be available shortly.
