We have closed our Shute End civic offices to the public as part of our efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Changes to our service
We have been actively reviewing Government announcements daily so that we can continue to deliver services, while at the same time protecting you and our colleagues. The latest advice has caused us to make some changes to the way we deliver our service. We will try to run our service as normally as possible, but there may be some delays.
Staff will be working from home to prevent the illness spreading. This means that we will try to email you where possible, or there may be a delay when we post letters to you. We will work hard to make sure that documents you post to us are scanned on to our system as quickly as possible to minimise delays.
Relief for vulnerable people
We know this is an extremely difficult time for people and are seeking to provide relief and support wherever necessary. The Government has confirmed a £500 million hardship fund will provide Council Tax relief for vulnerable people and households to help those affected most by coronavirus.
Working age residents supported through our Council Tax Reduction Scheme will receive up to an additional £150 reduction to their bill. These changes will be automatically applied – you do not need to do anything further.
If you are finding it difficult to meet your instalments email us at email@example.com so we can work with you on a more manageable repayment plan.
How to contact us
We will still accept calls on 0118 974 6000, but there is likely to be some interruptions to the service.
You can also email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Whilst we appreciate that this is a difficult time and if you are finding it difficult to meet your instalments please contact us so we can work with you to arrive at a more manageable repayment plan.
