Heatwave and drought information

Weather warnings

A Heatwave is a long period of very hot weather. The trigger temperatures for the South East of England are 31 degrees centigrade during the day and 16 degrees centigrade at night.

A drought happens when a period of low rainfall creates a shortage of water. Visit the Environment Agency website for advice about how to save water and what to do in a drought.
