Holiday, Activities and Food programme

Holiday, Activities and Food programme

What is the Holiday, Activities and Food (HAF) programme

If your child is in receipt of benefit related free school meals (FSM), you can register your interest in our Holiday, Activities, and Food (HAF) programme. If your child is not in receipt of FSM but you think you may be eligible, please check via the Free School Meals page on the Gov.uk website.

This programme is funded by the Department of Education (DfE) and provides free activities with a healthy meal to children and young people in school years from Reception to Year 11 who are in receipt of benefit related free school meals (or referred by a professional who works with your family.)

Over 800 children attended the Holiday, Activities and Food programme during 2021 and 2022. Activities included Oakwood Climbing Centre, Paddle Boarding, Raft Building, Sports, Arts and Crafts, Sensory-based activities for children with SEND needs and Community Events along with Childcare Activity Clubs.

How to register

If you would like to register your child / children for the HAF programme, please visit the Guidelines and Registration page and complete all of the details on the application form. You will need to complete a separate form for each child. The HAF team will process your application and will contact you via email to confirm your HAF code.

If you've already registered for a unique code for your child from us please don't register again. The code you received will remain with your child throughout the HAF programme, providing they are eligible to benefit related FSM.

If you need a reminder of your code please contact the HAF team via email to haf@wokingham.gov.uk.
