California Country Park is set within 100 acres of rare ancient bogland and lowland heath. It offers a wealth of walking and wildlife watching opportunities for visitors.

Parking

There is a daily charge of £1 per car between 10am and 4pm. Pay and Display tickets are available from the car park ticket machine. Annual Season Tickets can be obtained from the Countryside Service Office at Dinton Pastures Country Park priced: Adults £52.00, Concessionary £39. Disabled = Free.

Paddling Pool

During the summer months our paddling pool is open, with a £1 entry fee to the pool. Please get your tickets at the car park ticket machine.

California Dreaming Cafe

Located next to the main car park, California Dreaming Cafe is open daily selling a wide selection of hot and cold food, drinks, cakes and ice creams. Please call the cafe on 0118 973 5519.

Walks

There are 2 walks at the park. The Longmoor Lake walk is 0.9 miles log and The Woodland Walk is 2.2 miles long.

The Woodland Walk takes into the 8,000 year old Longmoor Bog on a specially constructed board walk. This is now a Site of Special Scientific Interest, or SSSI, due to it's abundance of rare sedges and mosses. This includes the Heathland - lowland heath is becoming increasingly rare in Britain - Longmoor Lake and woodland.

Dogs are welcome at California and we provide dog bins for you to use. Please respect others by keeping your dog under control and don't allow them to foul in public areas.
