Our Sport and recreation strategy aims to provide opportunities for all of our residents, young and old, to participate in sport and leisure. Our aim is to give you a breadth of choices to enjoy the facilities that the Wokingham Borough can offer.
We are working with a number of partners to improve the quality on offer in the Borough.
This Strategy has been written to reflect a balanced but informed view of the wide variety of interests and opinions that exist across sport, leisure and recreation. It has involved a significant amount of consultation with a cross section of the community involved in sport, leisure and recreation.
Objectives
The objectives of the strategy project are to:

Establish a Borough-wide framework for the well-being development of sport, leisure and recreation for the residents of Wokingham Borough

Help define the furture roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in the development of sport, leisure and recreation opportunities in Wokingham

Provide co-ordination to ensure that all interests in the Borough benefit fully from national and regional initiatives, including funding opportunities
