How to get to Wokingham

Wokingham is located in the Thames Valley area. The Borough Council civic offices are located in Wokingham town centre, within easy walking distance from Wokingham train station and bus stops.

By Train
 
Wokingham town centre is less than five minutes walk from Wokingham station. The station is served by frequent trains from areas including Reading, Bracknell, Earley, Winnersh, London Waterloo, Guildford, Crowthorne and Gatwick Airport. Services are operated by South West Trains and First Great Western.

By Bus
 
Services run regularly - 2-4 an hour - from Reading to Bracknell via Earley, Winnersh and Wokingham. Services also run from Slough, Windsor, Ascot, Camberley, Twyford, Hurst, Barkham, California Cross, Arborfield, Shinfield, Swallowfield and other areas. By Bicycle
 
Cycle routes from Earley and Woosehill are fully signed and the town centre, civic offices and train station have ample cycle parking.
 
By Car
 
Wokingham can be reached from the M4 and M3.
 
M4:
 
  • Exit the M4 at junction 10 and join the A329M towards Bracknell and Wokingham
  • Leave the A329M following the signs to Wokingham on the A329 - 3rd Exit off
  • Follow London Road which runs directly into Wokingham town centre
 
M3:
 
  • Exit the M3 at Junction 3 and join the A322 heading towards Bracknell and Wokingham
  • This road runs into the A329M
  • Turn off the A329M onto the A329
  • Follow London Road which runs directly into Wokingham town centre
 
Car Parking
 
Parking can be found at any of our 8 car parks which are clearly signposted. 
Visitors to our offices can park at Shute End for a maximum stay of 30 minutes.
For longer-stay parking the Paddocks Pay and Display car park offers the nearest access to Shute End offices. Road access to the car park can only be made via Wellington Road on to Elms Road.
