Our third Local Transport Plan (LTP3) identifies a long term vision for the Borough’s transport network and has been shaped by public consultation, our Sustainable Community Strategy, Core Strategy and national transport policy. The plan will be used as an overarching framework for delivering transport services and securing appropriate funding to ensure that transport networks in Wokingham Borough meet the needs of local residents and businesses.

LTP3 reflects the fact that transport has the potential to impact on the quality of life, health, economic prosperity and the environment. As part of LTP3’s development we are required to carry out a number of assessments to ensure that the plan does not have any significant effects.
-
The Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) ensures that the plan will not have a negative impact on the environment. The SEA also includes a Health Impact Assessment (HIA) which ensures that the plan promotes and encourages modes of travel which benefit health.
-
The Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA) ensures that European designated habitats will not be negatively affected by the plan.
-
The Equalities Impact Assessment (EqIA) has been carried out which makes sure that the LTP will not negatively affect any minority groups, and promotes equality and inclusion.
