How do I dispose of dog mess?

Put the waste in a bag and place it in a normal litter bin or take it home with you and place it in with your houshold waste. The Borough no longer has any specific dog waste bins.

When are litter bins emptied?

The 650 Highway litter bins are emptied weekly

Parks and Open Spaces 280 litter bins are emptied once a week and can be on different days. Contact Wokingham Direct for further information or to report a problem 

Play area bins may be emptied twice weekly dependant on location. Contact Wokingham Direct for further information or to report a problem.

Public rights of way are maintained by Countryside Services, there are no bins placed out on footpaths, bridleways or byways.  Please take your liltter home with you.

Which areas are litter picked? 

We have a street cleaning programme for all adopted roads, pavements, paths and cycleways. This varies from daily cleaning to cleaning every 6 months. Contact Wokingham Direct for further information or to report a problem.

Parks and Open Spaces carry out litter picks at various times of the year.
