Free 'Drive Start' Pre-Driver Training Course

The Drive Start course (formerly Motorvation) is aimed at 15 to 17 year olds who are applying for a provisional driving licence.

Get free advice on:

  • Buying a used car
  • Post-accident first aid
  • Cause and effect of traffic accidents
  • Advice on legal requirements
  • Presentation by emergency services
  • Plus a short driving lesson

The newly launched Good Egg Guide for New Drivers is aimed at 17-25 year olds and gives safety advice and tips on passing the test, purchasing a car, insurance and how to avoid losing your  licence.  Please visit the Good Egg website for further advice and enter a competition to win a car.  There is also a Good Egg Guide for Parents of New Drivers which can be downloaded on the Good Egg website.

Free copies of the new Good Egg Guide for New Drivers or the Good Egg Guide for Parents of New Drivers are available on request from the Road Safety team.

Book a place

To book a place on the course complete and return the Participant Application Form, by email with scanned signatures, to julie.pillai@wokingham.gov.uk or post to the address shown on the form.  

Please note we also require a £10.00 refundable deposit to secure your place.  A cheque would be preferable (write your name on the back) made payable to Wokingham Borough Council.  This will be returned to you upon attendance at the course.
