How often are verges cut?

The grass is cut 8 times a year with a final cut around October.

The grounds maintenance team try to ensure that the grass cutting remains on schedule but this is dependent on weather conditions. Areas are litter-picked before cutting. The cuttings are left on site to compost down and cleared from footpaths.
