We have been working with South East Water with their £2 million water mains upgrade in the town. The scheme to upgrade 7.1km of water mains will ensure South East Water can continue to supply clean, safe tap water to its customers.

Roads affected and road work timescales

190 bus service

Due to the current Shute End road closure the 190 bus service will be using the following route.

Buses will serve a temporary stop located on Reading Road before turning into Holt Lane towards Milton Road and on to Broad Street.

Buses towards Reading will travel via Denmark Street instead of Broad Street.
