Composting

We would encourage you to compost as much of your household waste as possible.
Up to 30% of your household waste is organic matter all of which can be recycled in a compost bin such as:
- Kitchen scraps
- Vegetable peelings
- Grass cuttings
- Garden weeds and leaves
Composting will:
- Make your home a greener place
- Reduce the build up of harmful waste
- Provide good soil for your garden
- Create a valuable resource which can help reduce the threat to non-renewable resources
