Airtrack

Airtrack is a major scheme proposal for new rail services to run between Reading and Heathrow Airport. There will also be services between the airport and Guildford and London Waterloo. No new track is proposed in the Wokingham area but there are significant changes around Staines and on the approach to Heathrow. The key issue for Wokingham is in the increase in frequency of services along the Reading to Waterloo line. Whilst this will improve services for railway users, the implications for the road network have not yet been fully estabished. We are doing more work on this and will publish the results when these are known.

Airtrack have recently completed a major consultation and details of this and the proposals are available on their website. There are also paper copies of the documents available at our offices for the next couple of months.

A copy of our response to the consultation is available below.

If you have any queries about the scheme please contact Airtrack.
