Changes to Buses 126/128/129 and 144 (Thames Travel) from January 11, 2010

With effect from January 11, 2010 there are additional buses on the 144, notably on Friday and Saturday evenings and late night between Reading and Arborfield Garrison, and retimings to morning peak 126/129 buses to enable children to reach school on time.  The amendments to the services are listed below but also check with Thames Travel's website in the New Year for further details.

Service 122 Finchampstead - Wokingham - Woosehill

  • 0556 from California Crossroads to Wokingham is retimed to 0552
  • 0618 from California Crossroads to Wokingham no longer runs (next bus 0639)
  • All other times remain unchanged

 

Services 126/128/129

  • 0609 from Wokingham (0622 at Twyford) to Reading is retimed 4 minutes earlier

  • 0631 from Wokingham (0644 at Twyford) to Reading no longer runs - there are 850 and 129 buses at 0650 and 0657 from Twyford

  • 0649 from Wokingham (0702 at Twyford) is retimed 7 minutes earlier (5 minutes earlier from Twyford)

  • 0717 and 0831 from Twyford to Reading are retimed 5 minutes earlier

  • 0650 from Reading to Twyford is retimed 5 minutes earlier

  • On schooldays the 0735 from Reading to Wokingham will leave Reading at 0727 and is retimed to reach Sonning Fire Station at 0746, Twyford 0756, Hurst 0805, Winnersh 0818 and Wokingham Broad Street 0835

  • On non-schooldays leaves Reading at 0735

  • 0800 from Reading to Twyford (via Carlile Corner for Piggott School) is retimed to 0755

  • 0920 service 129 from Reading to Wokingham is retimed to 0916 and operates as service 128 via Woodley, calling at the Chequers at 0932

  • 0640 from Arborfield Garrison to Reading
  • 0810 from Reading to Shinfield, School Green
  • 0840 from Shinfield, School Green to Reading
  • 1615 from Reading to Shinfield, School Green
  • 1645 from Shinfield, School Green to Reading
  • 1730 from Reading to Arborfield Garrison and Hogwood Lane
  • 2145, 2245, 2345, 0045 and 0145 on Friday night/Saturday morning from Reading to Arborfield Garrision
  • 2115, 2215, 2315, 0015, 0115 and 0215 on Friday night/Saturday morning from Arborfield Garrison to Reading
  • 0636 from California Crossroads to Wokingham is retimed to 0628
  • 1628 from Wokingham to Reading is retimed to 1635
  • 1740 and 1810 from Reading run 5 minutes later and the 1835, 1935, 2035 and 0235 run 10 minutes later

 

Saturday - Additional Buses

  • 0730 from Reading to Arborfield Garrison and Hogwood Lane

  • 2145, 2245, 2345, 0045 and 0145 on Saturday night/Sunday morning from Reading to Arborfield Garrison

  • 2115, 2215, 2315, 0015, 0115 and 0215 on Friday night/Saturday morning from Arborfield Garrison to Reading

  • 1725 from Reading to Wokingham is retimed to 1730

  • 1835, 1935, 2035 and 0235 from Reading run 10 minutes later and the 2045 terminates at Arborfield Garrison

 

Sunday

There is a new timetable - buses run between Reading and California Crossroads only, not continuing to Handpost Corner

  • Buses leave Reading from 1010 until 1810 every hour at 10 minutes past the hour

  • Buses leave California Crossorads from 0850 until 1650 every hour at 50 minutes past each hour
