Walking groups

Wokingham Borough Health Walks

Walking is a great way to improve your health, it's free, and you can walk at anytime or place. Our Health Walks Project provides a programme of walks including fun social events throughout the year. All walks are between 1 and 4 miles and usually take under one hour to complete. For walkers with pushchairs, we recommend the walks at Dinton Pastures Country Park and The Thames Tow Path at Sonning as being suitable.

Several walks provide the opportunity to stop for coffee and a chat afterwards. The Health Walkers also have a weekly art group and regular breakfast walks. Some members organise holidays and social events. Read our Health Walks Information and Events Programme or contact us for more details.

The Dinton Walking Group is for people who are retired or semi-retired. Leisurely paced walks between 4 to 6 miles are organised by the group. Some walks go further afield to places such as London or include pub lunches, quizzes or coach trips.
