Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT)

Our Drug and Action Team offers access to drug treatment services for all. We also offer relapse prevention and aftercare services. KCA Horizon, Wokingham, supports people with drug and/or alcohol disorders. Contact them if you are worried about your, or someone else’s drug, or alcohol use. Read more about KCA and the services they offer.

Drop-in services

KCA Horizon, Wokingham run a drop in service, open to everyone at Wokingham Baptist Church every Tuesday, from 1pm to 3pm and Friday from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. There are also weekly drop-in sessions for young people(through JUICE Young Persons Health Service.) These drop-ins are held every Monday from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at Woodley Centre Surgery and every Thursday from 3.30pm to 5.30pm at Wokingham Hospital.

Services for adults

KCA Horizon supports people aged 18 and over into recovery by tackling treatment needs and wider social reintegration issues (including housing, employment and education.) All our adult substance misuse services are open to substance misusers and their families. We run support groups and provide training.

Services for young people

Our Young People's service offers support to young people who are concerned about their own or someone else's use of substances. For help call Jenny Vaughan on: 0118 977 2024, Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm. Call the service to hear about our late opening clinics.

Needle collection and exchange services

Our Waste Services Team offers a free and confidential service for sharps collection from private homes. The local pharmacies, below, offer a needle exchange service:
