Care to live at home

Financial advice

If your care needs don't meet our eligibility criteria, or if you don't qualify for financial support, contact the following organisations for advice. Please visit the websites for more information:

• The Society for Later Life Advisers website (SOLLA) - they have a searchable database of local financial advisers who have been accredited by the Society. SOLLA have worked with national organisations and charities to produce advice on paying for long term care; visit the Paying for Long Term Care in England publication on the SOLLA website for more information.

• Age UK website - offer fact sheets to download or you can get advice from your local branch.

If you need advice from an independent financial adviser, visit the Financial Services Authority (FSA) website to check that the adviser is registered and that they hold the specialist qualification in advising on long term care (CF8), required by the FSA.
