About the scheme

Age Concern Berkshire run a handyeperson scheme which helps frail older people on limited incomes and disabled people of all ages in Berkshire by helping with a variety of minor jobs around the house.

All labour and many small items are provided free of charge, other items may be provided with a cost.

What can you get help with?

The handymen can help with minor jobs both inside and outside the home including:

• Replacing light bulbs
• Fitting doorbells
• Unblocking sinks

There are limits to what the handymen may help you with, and will not be able to provide help with tasks such as:

• Decorating
• Major electrical work
• Gardening
