In the Autumn of 2006 Wokingham Town East Primary Network looked at curriculum development with cross-curricular links as the major focus. Schools discussed 'drivers' for their curriculum, and as a result 6 Geography coordinators from the 6 schools - Keep Hatch Primary School, St. Teresa's R.C. Primary School, Wescott Infant School, Westende Junior School and the Collaboration of Whitelocke Infant and Nursery School and The Palmer C.E. Aided Junior School - came together on October 6th to build a primary curriculum where Geography was the driver. Geography was chosen as an interest area, but also because of OfSTED's view that it was a subject that was taught poorly nationally. The results of this day's work are set out here.
