WIC within the Framework for Literacy

When Wokingham LA launched the training for the renewed Framework for Literacy in the Autumn of 2006, we wanted to use this moment as an opportunity to encourage schools to develop cross-curricular links within the spirit of the WIC project whilst seeing Literacy opportunities across this curriculum.

Literacy training - planning with a Geography driver with links [doc / 133KB] This is curriculum planning as a result of work completed by Katie Frost (Curriculum Development Adviser for Literacy), Jim Mathieson (School Development Adviser) and Literacy Leading Teachers to show how Literacy opportunities exist across the curriculum when Geography is chosen as the curriculum driver.
