What is the Challenge Award?
The Challenge Award is supported by NACE - the National Association for Able Children in Education.
It is an award for Primary and Secondary Schools, which recognises and celebrates quality whole school provision for more able, gifted and talented pupils. We are promoting this as an award which matches the profile of Wokingham Schools and which will be useful for whole school development for MAGT, for self-evaluation purposes and for promotional opportunities.
It enables schools to answer the following key questions:
-
What does effective provision for able, gifted and talented look like?
-
What are the aspects that constitute quality provision?
-
How well are we doing and how do we know?
-
Where is the evidence and how do we judge it?
-
What is our next priority?
The Challenge Award Framework is a very useful tool in itself and in addition schools may choose to proceed to validation, leading to the Award. For more information visit the National Association for Able Children in Education - NACE - website.
