Learning Support Service

The Learning Support Team is able to provide schools with a range of services to help them in developing and delivering support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Primary and secondary schools can request assessment and advice on resources and strategies for individual pupils, help with whole school policy and planning issues, training sessions for teachers and learning support assistants and specialist teaching for individuals or small groups of pupils.

Specific service standards

Members of the Learning Support Team all have specialist SEN qualifications in addition to the experience and knowledge gained through their teaching careers. Team members' knowledge of developments in SEN is constantly updated through both team and individual training.

Service Level Agreements will be negotiated with schools.
