Insurance

The council's Insurance Service arranges insurance cover to help protect the council and schools against their legal liabilities, against the financial consequences of damage to, or loss of, property and to promote effective, practical risk management.

The insurance cover that has been arranged includes the following: Public and Employers' Liability, Property Damage, Theft, Motor Fleet and Personal Accident.

The Insurance Service facilitates, handles and liaises with insurers on all claims made by or against the council and schools and will provide advice and guidance on any insurance-related matter.
