Admissions

Admissions policies and procedures are available at:  http://www.wokingham.gov.uk/schools/schooladmissions/schooladmissionsarranged/

 

The composite prospectus is now published for admissions to schools in September 2013 on the relevant pages at www.wokingham.gov.uk/admissions.  This comprises four documents:

  • Parent’s Guide to Secondary School Admissions (starting secondary school page)

  • Parent’s Guide to Junior School Admissions (transfer to junior school page)

  • Parent’s Guide to Starting School (starting infant or primary school page)

  • Parent’s Guide to In-year Admissions (updated for admission in 2011-2012) (in-year school admissions)

The guides and web pages include school visit information and key dates.

Secondary guides have been distributed.  Starting school and transfer to junior application packs will be distributed in November 2011.

 

Changes to admissions policy

Proposals to change the admissions policy of community or voluntary controlled schools, including school admission numbers and designated areas or the co-ordinated admissions scheme, should be made to Sue Riddick by 1 October to allow time for consideration prior to formalising documentation to be provided to the School Admissions Forum for its meeting in November.  Consultation will take place for a minimum eight week period concluding by 1 March and will be available at www.wokingham.gov.uk. Notification will be sent to schools when the consultation commences.
